Celebrating our improved school library

The new and improved Walter Powell School library is now complete! Thanks to SHASA and our wonderful community, the fundraising goal has been reached, enhancing the space with new books, furniture and cosy touches for children from Pre-School to Year 6.

The children enjoyed wonderful festive events over the Christmas period. SHASA provided Christmas crackers and other treats for their Christmas lunch and funded the coach to the pantomime.

KS1’s roaring trip to Wake the Tiger

Goals for Spring/Summer 2026

Our current fundraising priorities are to help cover coach travel for educational trips, provide headphones to complement the iPads previously funded by SHASA, and strengthen music provision through new percussion instruments and specialist music days.
